Payment of ex - gratia to the next kin of deceased due to COVID - 19 G.OMs 01 Dated : 09.11.2021

 Read the following

 1. F.No.C.18018 / 11 / 2021 - DM Cell , dated 03.09.2021 from DDG , DM Cell , Government of India , Ministry of Health & FW ( Disaster Management Cell ) , New Delhi . 

2. No.16 / 11 / 2021 - RR , dated 11.09.2021 , from Joint Advisor ( RR ) , GOI , National Disaster Management Authority , New Delhi . 

3. G.O.Ms.No.151 Health , Medical & Family Welfare ( D ) Department , dated 08.11.2021 . 

ORDER : 

In the reference 2nd read above , Joint Advisor ( RR ) , National Disaster Management Authority , Government of India has informed that all the States / UT shall notify a Committee at District Level for issuance of the Official Document for COVID - 19 Death and payment of Rs.50,000 / - as an ex - gratia to next of kin of the deceased persons due to COVID - 19 from State Disaster Relief funds in the light of the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 30.06.2021 in WP ( C ) No.554 / 2021 & 539/2021 . 

2. In the 3rd read above , Government have constituted the District Level Committee for issuing of Official Document for COVID - 19 death to the next kin of the deceased . 

3. Government , after examination of the matter , hereby accord permission to the District Collectors of the State for providing of an ex - gratia for an amount of Rs.50,000 / - [ Rupees Fifty thousand only ] to the next kin of the diseased persons who died due to COVID - 19 from State Disaster Response Fund ( SDRF ) duly following the guidelines as detailed below : ( 1 ) ( ii ) Application to be received online . ( iii ) The District Collector will approve the ex - gratia assistance to the next of kin of the deceased person in respect of eligible cases . All Claims in respect of eligible cases must be settled with 30 days of submission of required documents , and disbursed through Aadhar linked Direct benefit Transfer procedures .

 4 . All the Collectors & District Magistrates in the State shall take necessary action as per the guidelines issued by National Disaster Management Authority ( NDMA ) , New Delhi ( copy enclosed ) . ( P.T.O. )
