INSPIRE AWARDS - MANAK SCHEME-2025 GUIDELINES
Aim of the INSPIRE
To foster culture of innovation and creative thinking amongst school students to address the societal needs through Science and Technology.
To attract talent to the excitement and study of science at an early age.
TARGET
One million original ideas / innovations rooted in Science and Technology applications from 5 lakh schools.
Students studying 6-12 classes of all managements are eligible to apply.
A maximum of 5 nominations per school can be uploaded through web portal www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in.
The students have to put forward their creative ideas/concepts / innovations on specific themes having relevance to local Science and Technology needs and National Priorities
Under the scheme a onetime award of Rs.10000/- is given to the student (DBT), who would utilize about 50% of amount for making a science project/model to the district level exhibition for display & 50% may be utilize for transportation.
The INSPIRE online nominations for the ongoing F.Y. 2025-26 is already commenced from 15th June and opened till 15th September, 2025.

Organizing internal competitions in schools and nominations of five best original ideas in any Indian language, by respective Principal / Headmaster online through E-MIAS (E-Management of INSPIRE Award Scheme) portal on web-link www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in
Unregistered schools:
The unregistered schools for Inspire Awards can also avail the opportunity to register their schools through E-MIAS web portal and nominate 5-best Ideas.

The registered schools can nominate 5 best ideas through webportal using the link www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in.
INSPIRE MANAKS APP
INSPIRE Awards MANAK, NIF introduced the "INSPIRE-MANAK App" for students nominations under the scheme. The app can be downloaded from Google Play store https://shorturl.at/cvZ14. The app can also downloaded from E-MIAS web portal. The nominations and log-in process are same as similar to E-MIAS web portal.
School heads and teachers of all managements to upload the nominations through INSPIRE-MANAK App or E-MIAS portal www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in.
Selection of ideas / innovations will be based on novelty, social applicability, environment friendliness, user friendliness and comparative advantage over the existing similar technologies.
Pre-requisites for nominations Idea
Every nomination should be supported with synopsis written in the form word or pdf, and it should be uploaded. Otherwise the nomination will not be accepted.
Pass port size Photo of the student.
Aadhar card of the student.
Any nationalized bank account opened on student name/Joint account of student & parent.
Bank Account No.; IFSC code, Bank address.

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state is invited to the reference cited, wherein Scientist 'C', Department of Science and Technology, GOI, New Delhi has informed that the INSPIRE - MANAK Scheme is a flagship program implemented by Ministry of Science & Technology with a basic objective to instill creative/innovative thinking among school students.
The MANAK Scheme envisages targeting one million original/innovative ideas from students studying in more than five lakh middle and high schools across the country and selecting the best ideas having potential to cater to societal need and applications, thereby motivating these students to take these ideas forward for prototype and product development.
Further from this year onwards the DST decided to include students of class XI & XII in the eligibility criteria of the scheme. Thus, from the year 2025-26 onwards school students studying in class VI to XII will be eligible to submit their ideas.
The registered schools under the INSPIRE Award MANAK Scheme, in each financial year, can nominate 5 best ideas from their schools through online mode in E-Management of INSPIRE Award Scheme (E-MIAS) webportal or from INSPIRE MANAK App of the Department using the link www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in. The INSPIRE MANAK App can be downloaded from Google Play store https://shorturl.at/cvZ14. The app can also be downloaded from E-MIAS web portal. The online nominations for the year 2025-26, will be open from 15th June, 2025 to 15th September, 2025.
Therefore all the DEOs in the state are requested to give necessary instructions to all the schools of all Managements under their purview, about the inclusion of class XI and XII students and opening of online nominations under the MANAK Scheme for the year 2025-26.
Further all the DEOs in the state are requested to make nominations of INSPIRE awards as one of the agenda for the forthcoming School complex Meeting which is going to be conducted in the month July, 2025.
Accordingly instructions shall be given to DSOs, MEOs, School Complex HMs and Head masters of all managements of classes VI to XII to conduct the meetings, workshops at district level, Mandal level, school complex level with HMs & Teachers to undertake the online nominations of INSPIRE Awards in this respective schools. Further instructions shall also be given to the HMs and teacher to do online nominations for INSPIRE awards. Also instruct all schools to put "IDEA BOX" in their respective schools to drop the student's ideas on innovations and choose the best 5 ideas for online nominations.
Once again all the District Educational Officers are requested to bestow their personal attention on progress of online nominations by conducting periodic reviews with DSOS, MEOs and HMs and take necessary measures to maximize the nominations of the schools for classes VI to XII for the year 2025-26 in the stipulated time period. Any issue in this regard ask the concerned HMs/Principals to contact DSO of the concerned district. The list of DSOs with phone numbers is enclosed.
