In pursuance to the recommendations of the committee constituted for recommending modalities for Out of School Children and subsequent approval of the Competent Authority. The terms and conditions are as under:

1. An MoU for Out of School Children (OoSC) shall be signed between the NIOS and State / UTS 2. The Out of School Children (OoSC) will be enrolled in the Study Centre as per

the list provided by the concerned State /UTS

3. The Out of School Children (OoSC) will be registered under stream-I of NIOS and a dedicated admission portal will be provided for better tracking of the OoSC. 4. The NIOS will facilitate the OoSC by providing the following;

(i) Printed self instructional material.

(ii) Government / Provincialised Schools, as recommended by the State/UTS concerned, will be accredited as NIOS Study Centre will have to conduct PCP (Theory and Practical's) as per NIOS norms and will have to upload the PCP schedule on NIOS website. NIOS will not pay any grant for conducting PCP.

(iii) Online education support throughout the year using various online platform such as

Live Video programmes on PM E-Vidya; > Content Support on Diksha platform;

Live Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs) through web Radio (Mukta Vidya Vani);

Community based programmes on community Radio of NIOS. 5. As per NIOS norms OoSC will get nine chances to appear in the public examinations over a period of five years to complete his/her course.

6. NIOS will only include the Registration and first Examination fee of the learner, against Rs. 2000/- per child which it will receive from the State/UTS. For second and subsequent exams, learner or State/UTs will have to pay exam fees as per NIOS norms. TOC Fee, Late TMA submission fee and subsequent examination fee will be borne by the learner or the concerned State/UTS.
