Sub : - Reopening of Educational Institutions - Special Sanitation Drive in educational institutions to be taken up by the Gram Panchayats- Instructions -regarding

The Government have issued orders to reopen all educational institutions in physical mode duly following COVID norms with effect from 1st September 2021 and further instructions were issued on taking up a special sanitation drive in all , schools , anganwadis , hostels and colleges located in Gram Panchayats

2. Under Section 52 of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act , 2018 it is the mandatory responsibility of the Gram Panchayats to maintain proper sanitation in all public institutions in the village . Maintenance of top - class cleanliness in and around these educational institutions is essential to prevent the spread of COVID - 19 and other seasonal diseases 3. The following activities shall be undertaken and completed in this special sanitation drive by 30th August , 2021 before the reopening of the public educational institutions . Sanitation in these Public Institutions shall include the following activities 

3.1 . Through cleaning of all Schools , Colleges , Anganwadi and Hostels located in the Gram Panchayats .

 3.2 Cleaning of classrooms , kitchen sheds , toilets , furniture , windows , handwash sinks , and the entire premises 

3.3 Draining out stagnant water in and around the premises and from rooftops and any other material that can hold water 

3.4 . Clearing of pichhi mokkalu in the premises 

3.5 . Washing and mopping of the floors of the rooms 

3.6 . Cleaning of drinking water sources , taps , storage tanks , etc 

3.7 . Spreading of Disinfectant powder with lime and bleaching powder ( calcium hydroxide ) with required mix 1 : 4 or 1 : 8 as per dampness . In open urination locations the mix shall be in the ratio of 12 or 1 : 4 . and spraying Sodium Hypochlorite 3.8 Taking adequate sanitation measures to prevent breeding of flies . Page 1 of 2 3 3 .
