Tell the parents:
PTM happens every thirc Saturday. The school does not want them to only attend. The school wants them to be partners in their child's learning. A partnership starts with a promise. Read each promise aloud to the group. Ask eack parent to pick at least one promise to follow for the next one month. The parent should say the promise aloud and sign the pledge register next tc it. The six promises:
1. "I will send my child to school every day."
2. "If my child is absent from school, I will inform the teacher.
3. "I will ask my child every day what happened at school."
4. "I will make sure my child studies at home every day."
5. "I will attend every PTM this year and discuss my child's learning and behavior.' "I will go to school once a month and discuss my child's progress with the teachers individually. Each parent signs the register next to the promise they bicked. This is not a form - it is a promise. Treat it that way.
6. After the group pledge, teachers talk with eack parent one by one for a short time.
Use these points:
• Tell the parent one good thing the child did ir class. Praise the child by name.
• Tell one thing the child can do better. Say it as a chance to grow, not a problem
• Ask: 'Which promise did you pick today? Why is that one right for your family?
Keep a pen and a feedback register at the door, Parents can write their thoughts before they leave.
Record 3-4 short audio or video clips of parents Ask them which promise they picked and why
