Sub: State Functions - Telangana Formation Day Celebrations, 2024 - Unfurling of National Flag at District Headquarters Instructions - Reg.
Ref: From the ECI, New Delhi, Notification No.ECI/PN/23/2024, dt:16.03.2024.
&&& It is to inform that 2024 being the decennial year of the formation of Telangana as a New State, the State Government has decided to celebrate the same on 02.06.2024 throughout the State in a befitting manner.
2. It is further decided to involve all the public representatives right from village / mandal level to the State level.
3. All important dignitaries like MLAs / Mayors / ZP Chairpersons, Chairperson DCCB and DCMS, Municipal Chairpersons and Heads of Offices are requested to unfurl the National Flag in their respective Offices. Similarly, Mandal Praja Parishad Presidents are requested to unfurl the National Flag in MPP Office and Sarpanch shall do the same in Gram Panchayat Offices.
4. A similar ceremony shall be conducted by the Heads of Department including unfurling of the National Flag in all Government Offices at different levels before 09.30 AM
5. The celebrations at District Level shall include unfurling of National Flag by the Collector & District Magistrate at 09.00 AM.
6. All Heads of Department and Collectors & District Magistrates in the State are requested to take necessary action. They are further requested to follow the instructions issued on Flag Code-2002 and avoid usage of Plastic Flags.
