Sub: Telangana Samagra Shiksha Issue of Postpaid 4G SIM Cards to already supplied Tablet (TABs) for Government Schools Primary and Upper Primary Teachers in the State Certain instructions Orders - Issued.

All the DEOs & EO-DPOs, Samagra Shiksha in the State are aware that 19,800 Tablet (TABs) were already supplied to the Primary School and Upper Primary School Teachers vide reference 1st cited under Teacher Resource Package to upload and monitor the various data/records, tracking of progress of each child etc., in the entire state of Telangana.

In this regard, 19,800 SIM cards of Reliance Jio network with 4G Connection with 30 GB data and unused data should be carried forward to next month (up to 200 GB limit) are issued now for already supplied 19,800 Tablet (TABs) for utilization to upload and monitor the various data/records, tracking of progress of each child etc.

Further, all the DEOs & EO-DPOS, Samagra Shiksha in the State are informed that SIM Cards for the Tablet (TABs) supplied to District as shown in the Annexure-I enclosed herewith are handed over to the Co- ordinator (Planning & MIS, ICT, Digital Initiatives and Civil Works) 0/0 DEO & EO-DPO, SS of the District in the State during the meeting held on 20.04.2024 at Hyderabad. They are requested to issue SIM cards to all respective Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers under proper acknowledgement on or before closure of Academic year 2023-24 and Tablet (TABs) shall be kept in activation stage with SIM cards.

The following guidelines on distribution of SIM cards to Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers at District Level and their usage by the concerned Teachers are compiled positively without fail.

i) Registration and Documentation:

All SIM cards were registered to maintain accountability.

• District Project Office, SS shall maintain a detailed record of each SIM card, including the tablet assigned to the

Teachers of Primary and Upper Primary Schools, and contact information in the prescribed format as per

Annexure II.

ii) Activation and Validity:

SIM cards were Activated after verifying the user identity and purpose of usage. The validity period of SIM Cards is two years.

iii) Data Usage Monitoring:

ataachers shall monitor data usage regularly to prevent excessive consumption and manage costs effectively.

Teachers shall ensure data usage limits by preventing misuse or unauthorized access to data.

iv) Network Security Measures:

Teachers shall ensure tablets are configured to connect securely to the network, utilizing encryption and Virtual Private Network (VPNs) where applicable.

Teachers shall regularly update security protocols and software to protect against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.

v) Distribution plan:

The District Educational Officer & EO-DPO, SS shall issue SIM cards to the concerned Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers of the District under proper acknowledgement as per list in Annexure-I.

vi) Monitoring and reporting mechanism:

• Monitoring and reporting mechanism shall be ensured at district level and at school level for supply of SIM cards to the concerned teachers with proper stock entry and if any issues are encountered may be informed and shared to this office with proper report.

vii) Payment of tariff:

• Payment shall be made by State Project Office on monthly basis to M/s Reliance Jio as per usage of data by Teachers from the available funds under Samagra Shiksha.

Therefore, all the DEOS & EO-DPOS, SS in the State are requested to ensure prompt supply and usage of SIM cards in respect of already supplied Tablets (TABs), by the concerned Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers in their district as above and report compliance.
