ORDER:

It has come to the notice of Government that, large numbers of applications are pending for providing employment to the dependents of deceased Government employees in the Districts under the scheme of compassionate appointments for want of vacancies and other issues.

2. The District Collectors have reported that (1266) applications are pending for compassionate appointment, consequent on inclusion of all the available vacancies in the category of Junior Assistant and other equivalent categories in the notification for Group-IV services by the Telangana State Public Service Commission and also adjustment of VROS against available vacancies. As such no vacancies are available for considering compassionate appointments in the category of Junior Assistant.

3. Government after careful consideration of the matter have decided to upgrade the required number of existing vacancies of Office Subordinate as Junior Assistant on Supernumerary basis, for the purpose of considering pending applications for appointment on compassionate grounds, to mitigate the hardship of the dependents of the deceased Government employees.

4. Accordingly, Government hereby accord sanction for upgradation of Twelve Hundred and Sixty Six (1266) vacant posts of Office Subordinate as Junior Assistant on Supemumerary basis in all Districts as mentioned in the appendix to this order, for the purpose of compassionate appointment in the districts, with the condition that these Supemumerary posts shall lapse as and when regular vacancies arise in the concerned Department in the district in future.
