TSEC - Elections - Ordinary elections Urban Local Bodies General Orders issued by the Government authorizing the District Collectors to declare local holidays in the areas notified for election and other related issued whenever the Notification issued by the SEC - communicated - Reg. Orders

     I wish to state that, in the reference 1st cited, the government has issued General Orders authorizing the District Collectors to declare local holidays in the areas notified for election and other related issues whenever Election Notification is issued by the SEC. A copy of the said G.O is enclosed herewith. In the reference 2nd cited (copy enclosed), the SEC issued Notification for conduct of Ordinary elections to the posts of Member, Municipality and Member Municipal Corporation as indicated therein. I, therefore, request you to take necessary action for declaration of local holiday in the areas notified for elections and other related issues in terms of the orders issued in the G.O 1st cited.
